A White Hall man accused of murder stemming from an incident in December 2024 was booked into the adult detention center this week.
Tylic Jarnell Alexander, 21, is charged with first-degree murder and felony fleeing with a bond of $500,000 set.
Alexander is accused of fleeing from an Arkansas State Trooper at speeds of up to 120 miles per hour in silver Dodge Charger on Highway 79B, then to University Drive and Highway 65B (Martha Mitchell Expressway) and while being chased, two girls, one of them identified as Sabria Culclager, 16, jumped out of the car from the rear passenger side door. That happened after State Police attempted a tactical vehicle intervention at the intersection with University Drive, but Alexander reversed the vehicle, got out of the pin attempt, then fled again.
Culclager was injured and went to Jefferson Regional Hospital, then was transferred to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where she died Dec. 16.
The pursuit continued until the vehicle abruptly stopped near North Walnut Street and three individuals jumped out and fled on foot.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Alexander was identified as the driver of the car by his stepfather and from videos that Culclager took with her phone during the pursuit and the girls in the car said Tylic’s name several times talking about his driving.
Trooper Lincoln Smith, who was involved in the pursuit, was also able to identify Alexander as the one who had been driving the Dodge Charger.
