The Arkansas State Police are investigating after a vehicle was discovered in the woods near Exit 24 near Jefferson on Interstate 530 Sunday afternoon.
According to sources speaking with Deltaplex News, the vehicle is believed to have crashed on Friday, however, the wreckage went unnoticed by passing motorists until Sunday.
When law enforcement arrived on the scene Sunday, they found the driver deceased inside the vehicle.
At this time, authorities have not released any details about the identity of the driver or the type of vehicle involved. The cause of the crash also remains under investigation.
State Police say more information will be released as it becomes available.
