Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Keith Banks, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning said on Wednesday at 8:06, police were sent to a residence in the 700 block of South Walnut Street in response to a reported stabbing.

Manning said several witnesses to the incident confirmed the victim’s account of what happened.

Conway has prior convictions dating back to 1988 including multiple burglary and theft charges. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Aug. 8.
