With Kyle Hunter announcing that he will not seek another term in office as Prosecuting Attorney in the 11-West Judicial District, which includes Jefferson and Lincoln Counties, multiple candidates are expected to announce their intention to seek the job.
Currently, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning has made her announcement and now a former deputy prosecutor says he will be a candidate.
Mircha King appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show and was asked why he wanted to be prosecuting attorney and answered this way.
King mentioned that Lincoln County has different needs from Jefferson County and Morning Show host Greg Horne asked him to discuss those different needs.
Horne also mentioned the difficulty in getting convictions because of the reluctance of people to talk and because of threats made by people that are on trial.
