A $100,000 bond was set Friday for a Jefferson County man accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge James Johnson, 19, with rape.

The allegation is based on an affidavit from White Hall Police Investigator Charles Treadway that was presented in court by Chief Deputy Prosecutor Karres Manning.

She said on July 8, White Hall Police were sent to a residence in White Hall in reference to an incident.

Johnson was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Aug. 8.
