A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a woman accused of being in possession of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Danielle Birmingham, 33, with theft by receiving and resisting arrest,
Birmingham was not in the courtroom for the hearing because she had refused to come out of her jail cell.
Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel explained the allegation based on an affidavit from Sheriff’s Investigator Lt. Dennis Kendall.
Akel said a criminal history check showed Birmingham is in Drug Court in Washington County.
She was told to come back to court on Aug. 6.
