A $5,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of using a company credit card to make unauthorized transactions.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Eugene Wiley, 58, with theft of property.

The allegation is based on an affidavit by Pine Bluff Police Detective Sgt. Keith Banks that Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel read in court.

Akel said Wiley has one prior felony conviction. He was told to come back to court Aug. 6.
