Former Watson Chapel star Tink Hence is approaching the end of his rehab road. Hence started the season on the 60 day DL with a rib cage strain. Midway through last month he was given the greenlight to start throwing and has looked like the pitcher he was last year when he was the Cardinals Minor League Pitcher of The Year. Monday night he pitched another inning for the teams Rookie League team and again was lights out. Through three appearances this summer he has not allowed a run while striking out 6. The Cardinals could be preparing him to be sent to a place he knows well, Springfield, Missouri, where he dominated AA hitters last season. If he continues to get outs and avoids the injury bug, who could find himself in Memphis by the end of the season.
