The Woodlawn School District is asking voters to approve a two-mill tax increase later this month.

According to the Cleveland Count Herald, voters will also decide which of three candidates will win a position on the Woodland School Board.

The candidates include current board member Larry Reynolds, Trevaughn Moore and David White. The Woodlawn School District is an at-large district meaning every registered voter in the district is eligible to cast a vote.

The additional tax money would pay for a new career center and an expansion of the cafeteria.

The newspaper reported that the additional two-mills would add $50 to the tax bill of residents whose property is valued at $125,000 and $100.00 to residents whose property is valued at $250,000.

Early voting begins Tuesday, May 6, with the election set May 13.
