A student at Star City Middle School brought an airsoft gun to campus Friday morning, prompting swift action by school administrators.
According to a press release, the staff and administration promptly addressed the situation after receiving a report about a student possibly possessing a weapon. Upon investigation, it was confirmed that the item was an airsoft gun, not a real firearm.
The school emphasized that at no time was there a threat to the safety of students or staff members. The administration reassured families that maintaining a safe environment is their top priority and stated that appropriate disciplinary measures will be enforced in line with school policy.
