Lincoln County Judge Buddy Lynn Earnest has ordered a burn ban for his county effective immediately.
Appearing on the Oldies Morning Show Tuesday, Earnest explained the reason for the ban.
Morning Show host Greg Horne said the high winds can cause a fire to get out of control in a hurry and Earnest responded this way.
