A Saline County man was killed in a one-vehicle accident in rural Saline County Tuesday.
According to a preliminary report, Carl Gentry, 55, of Houston, Arkansas was westbound on Highway 5/David Wells Road when the 2000 GMC Sierra he was driving left the roadway on the right side and struck an embankment. The vehicle then struck a tree and rolled over on its side.
Gentry was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident was reported at 2:47 p.m. and the death was the 486th so far this year on the state’s highways.
