A small community in Grant County has added surveillance cameras at several intersections.
According to the Sheridan Headlight newspaper, three Flock cameras have been installed at Tull.
They join cameras placed at Leola, Poyen and Traskwood and are overseen by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Peter Roberts told the newspaper the cameras “are used as an investigative tool aiding in the recovery of stolen vehicles and other property.”
He added that contrary to what is seen on television, the cameras do not have a monitoring system and are not monitored 24-hours a day.
The newspaper reported that the Flock cameras have been used in the City of Sheridan for some time and have proven effective to the recovery of stolen property and warrant offenders.
