Rep. Bruce Westerman
On Thursday, U.S. Congressman Bruce Westerman was on the floor of the House of Representatives in Washington and slipped into a cloakroom to visit with Deltaplex Radio.
Asked by 1013 morning show host Greg Horne what he was doing, Westerman said this.
He said the proposed legislation is “unfair to U.S. Citizens of Puerto Rico without going through the proper channels and writing a coherent bill.
He said the current resident commissioner for Puerto Rico, who is elected island-wide, is a Republican and is a member of the Resources Committee.
Westerman said there are “a lot of issues still to be worked out.”
