A two-vehicle accident in rural Arkansas County Wednesday morning resulted in the death of an Altheimer man.
According to a preliminary report, Jeremy Morris, 29, was northbound riding a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle which was hit head-on by a 2016 Ford Transit van that was traveling south and attempting to pass a tractor-trailer.
Morris was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the transit van was not injured.
The accident was reported at 6:01 a.m. and the death was the 521st so far this year on the state’s highways.
