Pine Bluff Police Chief Denise Richardson has been on the job less than a month and appearing on the Oldies 1013 morning show in August, Mayor Shirley Washington was asked about her decision\ to name Richardson to replace Chief Lloyd Franklin, who retired.
The mayor said she had to find someone who was not connected to the department to come in “and pave the way for the nest chief that would lead the department so she selected Franklin, then talked more about him.
Morning show host Greg Horne told Washington that everything he had heard about Richardson was overwhelmingly positive about her professionalism and Washington responded this way.
