A 56-year-old Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday after allegedly threatening a woman with a baseball bat.
Zebbie Robinett was taken into custody after sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported armed disturbance at a residence on Old Star City Road. When they arrived, they found Robinette near a shed next to the residence yelling and waving his arms.
Reading from an affidavit from Sheriff’s Lt. Kaylon McDaniel, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said deputies talked to the victim.
Carson said Robinett was not interviewed that night because he appeared to be intoxicated and deputies could not take a statement the following day because of Robinette’s attitude.
On Monday, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $15,000 bond for Robinett after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with terroristic threatening. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case was settled and told to come back to court on Sept. 15.
