A $10,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of strangling his adult daughter during an altercation.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jerome Knowles, 47, with aggravated assault on a family or household member.
Reading from a probable cause affidavit from Sgt. Michael Roberts, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said an officer was sent to a reported domestic disturbance on July 15 at a residence on East 36th Avenue.
Carson said Knowles has prior convictions for aggravated assault on a family or household member, second offense third-degree domestic battery, and sexual offenses,
He was ordered to have no contact with his 21-year-old daughter until the case is settled and told to come back to court on Aug. 15.
