A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of firing a shot at another person Thursday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cassandra Green, 58, with aggravated assault.

Reading from an affidavit from Detective Corey Wilfong, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said police were sent to a reported disturbance in the 4100 block of West 7th Ave., at 1:19 a.m. where they spoke to Green, who was the owner of the residence. It was agreed that the victim would get their belongings and leave the residence and the victim went to their room to pack and Green followed.

When Green was questioned, she said she did not want the victim to take anything that he had not paid for. She said the victim pushed her and because he was larger than she was, she felt threatened and got her gun and fired a single shot.

Green said she would hire her own attorney and was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.
