A Pine Bluff man who was hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross Olive Street Friday has died at Jefferson Regional Hospital.
Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley confirmed the death of Adam Estes, 48, who was taken to the hospital after the accident which was reported at 9:24 p.m.
According to a preliminary report, Estes was walking west on U.S. Highway 63, Olive Street and walked into the path of a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Felicia Cobb, 50, of Pine Bluff.
Cobb was injured and also taken to the hospital.
The accident occurred south of Mallard Loop and according to the report, the weather was clear and the roadway dry at the time.
The death was the 177th so far this year on the state’s highways.
