The Pine Bluff Police Department is in the early stages of a Homicide investigation.
At 3:43 A.M., officers were called to the area of 111 W. 5th in reference to a shooting. Officers located 30 year old Tyler Rodgers, with apparent gunshot wounds, in a parking lot at 5th and Pine. Rodgers was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner April Davis.
The motive behind the shooting is under investigation. There is no definitive identification on suspects at the time of this release.
This is the 5th homicide for Pine Bluff this year.
