A $500,000 cash-only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of robbing a bank on Wednesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Demetrius Nelson, 25, of White Hall with aggravated robbery and theft of property.

During the court hearing, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King described what Nelson is accused of.

King said Nelson is currently out on bond on three counts of aggravated robbery in 2020.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Nelson and he was told to come back to court Feb. 18.
