A $25,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man accused of rape.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond for Kevin Baquet, 35, based on an affidavit from Detective Sgt. Ryan Moheb.

Reading from that affidavit, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said police were sent to an apartment at 11:30 p.m. Friday where they talked to the mother of the victim.

Baquet was ordered to have no contact with the victim and said he would hire his own attorney.

He is currently out on bond on a pending charge of rape.
