A two-vehicle accident in Faulkner County in the early morning hours Monday resulted in the death of two people.

According to a preliminary report, Chelsey Yarbrough, 33, of Vilonia was eastbound on Main Street when the 2015 Infiniti she was driving crossed into the westbound land and struck the front bumper of a 2006 Hyundai driven by David Johnson, 45, also of Vilonia that was westbound head-on.

Yarbrough and Johnson were both taken to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The two deaths bring to 341 the number of people who have died on the state’s highways so far this year.
