A White Hall man previously convicted of two felonies was arrested Sunday after police found a handgun that had been reported stolen during an investigation into another incident.

During a court hearing Tuesday, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King explained why Terrance McDaniel was arrested.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $15,000 bond for McDaniel, 34, after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with theft by receiving and being a felon in possession of a firearm. McDaniel said he would hire his own attorney.
