A Benton woman was killed and two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Saline County Wednesday.
According to a preliminary report, Jamie Schneider, 21, was west bound on the Interstate 30 service road at Bryant at 7:55 p.m. when the 2020 Hyundai she was driving hit the rear of a 2007 Toyota driven by Jorge Fresch, 27, of Benton.
After impact, her vehicle left the roadway into a ditch and struck a concrete culvert. The vehicle then hit the embankment, flip forward and then roll over, partially ejecting Schneider.
Fresch and a passenger in his car, Daniel Fresch, 24, also of Benton were injured and taken to Saline Memorial Hospital.
The death was the 100th so far this year on the state’s highways.
