A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly entered a parked car and took a wallet.
Deshia Adams, 25, was taken into custody after police found her at an apartment complex.
During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said the victim’s car was in the parking lot of Sherwin-Williams when she reported that Adams had gotten into her car and taken her wallet.
Detective Sgt. Corey Wilfong reported that the victim was the ex-girlfriend of Adams.
Wilfong took a statement from Adams who said she was trying to get a door dash card back from the victim and looked in the wallet but didn’t take anything.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $5,000 bond for Adams after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with breaking or entering. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Jan. 18.
