The recent launch of the LEARNS Act has caused districts across the state and the Deltaplex to make salary adjustments that some may view as unfair.
On Wednesday, White Hall School District Superintendent Gary Williams joined the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked about how his teachers responded to the recent changes in their salaries.
Horne went on to mention that WHSD gave increases above what was mandated which is an advantage in comparison to smaller school districts and Williams said this.
Williams was also asked if he knows what will happen with the LEARNS Act in regard to the recent lawsuit filed.
Williams told Horne that the LEARNS Act is set to launch officially on August 1st and the district is planning everything around its implementation.
