The White Hall School Board held a special called meeting Thursday at the Julius Brown Administration Building to discuss a brief agenda. Discussed in the meeting was the consideration to modify school choice capacity resolution and the consideration to approve school choice applicants.

The consideration to modify school choice capacity was to increase that capacity for the kindergartner level and Deltaplex News spoke with Superintendent Gary Williams after the meeting and he talked about that.

That consideration was approved and the board also approved 36 kindergartner students for the upcoming school year. Williams explained to Deltaplex News that most students were transferring from the Jefferson County area.

The board also held an executive session to consider resignations and employment before adjourning the meeting. During their session, they hired four certified teachers, two classified transfers, two certified resignations, and one classified resignation.
