The Pine Bluff Zebra football team will be shorthanded this week when they face the White Hall Bulldogs in a conference game at White Hall after the Arkansas Activities Association handed down suspensions to both Pine Bluff and their opponent last week, the Little Rock Mills Comets.

Twenty-three Zebras and 12 Comets were suspended for the teams next games after a fight between the two teams after Mills won in overtime. While Pine Bluff plays White Hall, Mills is off and their players will serve their suspension next week.

On Thursday, White Hall School Superintendent Gary Williams was a guest on the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked if there would be extra security for the game at White Hall because of what happened at Pine Bluff following the Zebra game.

Morning show host Greg Horne told Williams he did not like the way that high school teams handle the post-game handshake with the two teams lining up at the 50-yard line and described it as a “recipe for disaster.”

Williams went on to say this.
