White Hall School District Superintendent Doug Dorris said Thursday that a number of things are happening in the district as it nears the end of the school year.

Dorris told Deltaplex News that the district’s annual Choir Happening, which was canceled last year because of COVID was held Saturday at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. He went on to talk about other things still ahead.

He said graduation ceremonies will be held on the football field and in the event of rain, can be pushed back a day or moved inside to the cafeteria.

Asked about COVID, Dorris said there are only two students who are quarantined currently and about 95 percent of the district’s students are doing in-person learning.

He also talked about new devices that the district is installing on air conditioning units.
