Three students in the White Hall School District were arrested Thursday for comments they allegedly made on social media.

White Hall School District Superintendent Doug Dorris on Friday talked about the incident on the Oldies 101.3 morning show.

On Monday, news media reported that threats had been made against a school in Whitehalll but that turned out to be a school located in Whitehall, Michigan. Dorris said there were additional officers on school campuses after that threat until it was confirmed that the threats were against a school in Michigan.

“At that point we went to this Yik Yak,” Dorris said.

He said the students involved were high school students and were minors.  After being arrested on campus, they were questioned by White Hall Police then taken to the juvenile detention center and Dorris said he did not know their current status.
