A 33-year-old White Hall man was killed Wednesday morning in a traffic accident in the city of Thornton in Calhoun County.

A report from the Arkansas State Police says that Joel David Yarberry was traveling south on Highway 79 at 12:20 a.m. when the 2016 Dodge Charger he was driving exited the left side of the roadway for unknown reason before rotating counter clock-wise 90 degrees. The report says the vehicle then struck a tree and caught on fire.

The report says the weather conditions were cloudy and the road was wet at the time of the accident.
