Earlier this month, the Arkansas Activities Association announced that Pine Bluff has been awarded the Class 5-A State Basketball Tournament this year.
On Wednesday, oldies 1013 morning show host Greg Horne said the move shows that the image of “Crime Bluff” is changing and people are starting to see good things happening here. Mayor Shirley Washington was the guest and Horne asked for her thoughts on the AAA’s decision.
The Mayor went on to say that nothing negative happened during the King Cotton Tournament and there was a law enforcement presence, as well as other security.
She then went on to say this about the hotels.
