Jefferson County Clerk office wants to let everyone know:
Act 736 prohibits the County Clerk from sending unsolicited absentee applications to voters who have not established recent contact to request a new ballot application. All voters who wish to receive an absentee ballot must contact the County Clerk’s office.
The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office has absentee ballot applications available to the public Monday thru Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. if you would like to vote by mail.
You may also visit our website at www.jeffersoncountyar.gov/elections-voter-registration to download an application.
Please mail, fax, or scan and email the completed form to the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office.

October 16, 2023
- Last day to register to vote for the November Annual/Special Election
October 30, 2023
- First day for designated bearers to pick up absentee ballots
November 4, 2023
- Sample Ballots available on Voter View Website
November 7, 2023
- First day of early voting (8:30a.m.-5:00p.m.)
- Last day to receive applications for absentee voting by mail, fax, or email
November 10, 2023
- Last day to receive county-to-county transfers
November 13, 2023
- Last day for early voting (8:30am-5pm)
November 14, 2023
- Election day (7:30am – 7:30pm) (Vote at your polling location)
- Deadline to receive absentee ballots by mail/bearer/administrator/agent (By 7:30p.m.)
