UAPB Baseball: Terry & Brown Combine For Eight Hits; Golden Lions Demolish Alcorn State 29-3

PINE BLUFF, Arkansas — Darrius Brown and Gavin Terry each racked up four hits to help propel the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Golden Lions over the Alcorn State Braves 29-3 on Friday.

Jacob Ehling (3-3) got the win for UAPB, going seven innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on eight hits, allowing no walks and striking out four.

In addition to his four hits, Terry had a walk and three RBI to lead the Golden Lions. Brown added an RBI to his four-hit performance as well. Jose Rubalcava also chipped in for UAPB, putting together two hits in five trips to the plate while adding a double, a triple and three RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Golden Lions scored in six different innings on the way to victory. UAPB broke a 0-0 tie and took the lead for good at 1-0 in the first inning on an RBI groundout from Carlos Rodriguez that scored Jalyn Williams.
