According to media reports, the owner of Evergreen Packaging says the company will “explore strategic alternatives” which could include a sale.
On Monday, Allison Thompson, the President and CEO of the Economic Development Alliance for Jefferson County was asked about that when she appeared on the Oldies 1013 morning show.
Thompson said Evergreen produces a product that is in great demand.
Morning show host Greg Horne asked Thompson if Evergreen was having trouble finding workers, citing the actions of another major employer, Central Moloney, who has moved part of their production to another state because of a lack of skilled workers here.
