A Stuttgart woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident in Arkansas County Friday afternoon.
According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Marsha Snyder, 71, was attempting to merge into the northbound traffic lane of U.S. 73 after passing a vehicle when she lost control of the 2004 Jeep Patriot she was driving and the veh9icle left the roadway and entered a field on the east side of the highway.
The vehicle began to overturn and Snyder was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Arkansas County Coroner.
The death was the 244th so far this year on the state’s highways.
