Since its establishment in 2000, the UAM Sports Hall of Fame has served as the highest honor bestowed upon Boll Weevil and Cotton Blossom athletics alumni, recognizing individuals whose achievements and dedication have left a lasting impact on the university’s athletic tradition. The Hall of Fame honors former athletes, coaches and supporters who have demonstrated excellence both during and after their time at UAM.

The annual induction ceremony has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for UAM Athletics, bringing together former teammates, coaches, family members and supporters to celebrate the rich history of the program. Hall of Fame inductees represent a wide range of sports, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field, cross country and volleyball.

This year’s inductees include former Baseball All-American outfielder Monte Erwin; Danielle Rollins, a Second-Team All-American and GSC Defensive Player of the Year; Jake Nowlen, a two-time MLB draft pick and All-GSC pitcher; Katherine Taju, a First-Team All-Region selection, GSC West Player of the Year, and UAM Volleyball’s first Hall of Fame inductee; and De’Andre Washington, a three-time All-American tight end for the Weevil Football program.

Athletic Director Hud Jackson has emphasized the importance of recognizing those who helped build the legacy of UAM Athletics. Previous Hall of Fame classes have featured All-Americans, conference champions, record-setting performers and legendary coaches whose contributions continue to inspire current student-athletes.

The 2026 induction ceremony is expected to be held during UAM’s Homecoming festivities, continuing a tradition that has honored more than 100 former student-athletes and coaches over the past quarter century. Inductees will be formally recognized during the Hall of Fame banquet and celebrated before the homecoming football game at Willis “Convoy” Leslie Cotton Boll Stadium.

As the Boll Weevil family gathers to recognize the Class of 2026, the event will serve as a reminder of the excellence, perseverance and pride that have defined UAM Athletics for generations. For the newest members of the Hall of Fame, the honor represents not only recognition of past accomplishments but also a permanent place in the history of the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
