A Sheridan man was killed early Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident near Leola in Grant County, according to the Arkansas State Police.
According to a police report, 62-year-old Damon Cotton of Sheridan was driving a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on Highway 46 near the Saline River bottoms at approximately 12:30 a.m. when he lost control and laid the motorcycle over. He was thrown from the motorcycle during the accident and pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the report.
The road was dry and conditions were cloudy at the time of the accident, according to the report.
Cotton’s death is the 234th fatality on Arkansas roads in 2022.
