During its final meeting of the year, the Sheridan City Council was told that the new pickleball courts at the Sports and Leisure Complex have been completed and are now open.

The Sheridan Headlight newspaper reported that Parks and Recreation Supervisor Joel Stanton the three courts can be found by following the road back to the soccer complex.

Also at the meeting, Police Chief Jason Teague reported that two of the four new vehicles for the department have arrived and the other two will be arriving soon. He also reported that the detention center collected more than $80,000 in November from outside agencies housing prisoners at the center. That figure included more than $43,000 from the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
