The Pope County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing 58-year-old man who was last seen May 28.
Mark Alan Austin was last seen in Pope County. He is described as having gray balding hair, brown eyes, and a pacemaker. Authorities say he lived alone in a very rural area with no family living near, and he had very few friends.
People who know Austin say he has been very lonely and depressed due to losing his wife several years ago in an accident. The sheriff’s office says Austin has connections to the Hot Springs area.
