State Representative Ken Bragg, who represents District 15 which includes parts of Jefferson, Grant and Hot Spring County said Thursday that the biggest complaint he has heard from constituents since much of the area lost electricity Sunday is that people don’t get regular updates from C & L Electric, one of the companies providing service to the area.
Bragg appeared on the morning show with Greg and Will and said Entergy, which also provides electrical service is a much larger company and updates their website frequently while C & L does not.
“They do have daily updates on their website and on their Facebook page, usually late in the afternoon,” Bragg said.
He said that he knew both companies were working hard to restore power to customers as quickly as possible.
Bragg said one of the main problems that C & L has had to deal with is that they obtained a lot of their electricity from the Woodward Station in Jefferson County which was heavily damaged by the storm.
“With that station down, the transmission lines were damaged,” Bragg said. “C & L is working hard to restore those transmission lines.”
He said later in the interview that he understood that the repairs had been made to the Woodward Station, but he had been told it would be several days before work on the transmission lines would be completed.
Bragg was also asked his thoughts about how Governor Asa Hutchinson has done dealing with the Corona virus pandemic.

Bragg said the governor’s actions targeted the important areas that needed to be targeted to control the virus and he thinks now the Governor is looking at ways to relax some of the restrictions currently in place and he expects more information at the end of this week or the first part of next week.
“I know people are ready to go back to work, especially the small businesses,” he said.
