State Representative Glenn Barnes of Pine Bluff was one of the sponsors of legislation signed into law Monday by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders that will allow Jefferson County employees to get paid.
Barnes, a freshman legislator who took office in January appeared on Talk Back Live with Floyd Donald and explained what the bill does.
Although this bill was aimed directly at Jefferson County, Donald asked Barnes if it applied to all 75 counties in the state and Barnes responded this way.
Donald asked Barnes if he was not embarrassed to go to the legislature and have to present something like this legislation to his colleagues and asked Barnes how he handled that.
