Six members of the Jefferson County Quorum Court have opponents in the March Democratic primary while two others, who are Republicans, will face Democrats in the fall.

One of those six is political newcomer Randy Green, who is challenging District 6 incumbent Margarette Williams, who is completing her first term.

Williams is one of those who has aligned herself with a dissident faction of JP’s headed by Lloyd Franklin Jr., who have disrupted meetings chaired by County Judge Gerald Robinson for more than a year, a year in which very little has been done.

Green appeared on Talk Back Live with Floyd Donald and was asked why people should vote for him rather than Williams.

Green went on to say this during an exchange with Donald.

Green also responded to Donald’s statement this way.
