During the Jefferson County Quorum Court Committees meeting last week one of the ordinances recommended for approval will benefit three cities in the county. During their regular meeting, the justices approved the ordinance to transfer funds from the American Rescue Plan amounting to $700,000 towards those water and sewer projects for Altheimer, Humphrey, and Redfield.

Deltaplex News spoke with County Judge Gerald Robinson who explained more about these projects.

Zola Hudson the Mayor of Altheimer was also present and talked about how the funding will also help her community.

 

The Mayor of Redfield Robin Brooks was present at the meeting she was asked how these funds will help. Brooks responded this way.
