Police said Monday interviews and substantial evidence has linked two of the five men initially sought for a shooting on the parking lot of the Saracen Casino Thursday night to the incident.

Brandon Burnett

The evidence  indicated Tirek Langel, 22, and Brandon Burnett, 27, fired shots at security officers from the casino after they and the three other men had been escorted out of the casino.

A casino security officer was wounded and taken to Jefferson Regional for what was described as a non-life threatening wound to the abdomen.

Police said the other three, Kuro’n Lavell Brown, 21, Joshua McAfee, 27, and Dontarius Slater, 26, who turned themselves in Friday were released without charges after being interviewed by detectives.

Burnett turned himself in Monday afternoon and police said Langel, through his attorney, was expected to surrender Wednesday.

They will be charged with first-degree battery and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
