On Monday, the Pine Bluff City Council approved by a 6-2 vote a resolution to install sanitary sewer lines on the north side of Pine Bluff. The Pine Bluff Public Works Dept. will be undertaking the University Drive Sewer Project to provide sanitary sewer lines from the 1700 block north towards the intersection of McFadden Road. To acquire and install sewer lines along either or both sides of Univ. Drive, a number of easements must be acquired to add sewer lines across private property by imminent domain if needed.
Councilman Bruce Lockett gave input on the Sewer Project and the ongoing effort of the city to improve wastewater operations.
