PBPD Chief Richardson discusses that Justice Taggart will not be charged

Pine Bluff Police Chief Denise Richardson said Thursday that Justice Taggart, who was shot in an altercation with his father Maurice Taggart on Wednesday will not be charged in the incident.

Appearing on the Oldies 101.3 morning show, Richardson said this.

The father, Maurice Taggart, 41, who was facing multiple felony theft of property charges stemming from his work as director of the Urban Renewal Agency, was pronounced dead at Jefferson Regional Hospital.

Richardson said police believe Justice Taggart, 26, was not the instigator of the incident. He was also taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound.

She went on to say this.
