PB City Council Approves Several Resolutions, New Appointee for PB Advertising and Promotion Committee

On Monday, the Pine Bluff City Council held their monthly meeting to discuss proposed ordinances and resolutions. The first action item up for discussion was an ordinance which was up for its 3rd and final reading. This ordinance provides for rezoning of certain territory in City of Pine Bluff, specifically the 1000 block of West 43rd Ave. After the floor was open for questions and discussion, the city council voted and passed the ordinance with no contest.

The next item up for discussion was a resolution authorizing the mayor to sign an agreement with Boyce Industries, LLC for welcome monuments to be installed in the city of Pine Bluff. Alderman Bruce Lockett made a statement about the welcome monuments and city council’s support for it to pass:

 

The agenda item was moved for adoption, followed by a vote which was passed with no contest. A resolution authorizing the mayor to convey real property to W.E. Realty was discussed. 3 parking lots on West 13th 2400 and the 2500 block is the area which will be used to build homes. The floor was open for discussion, and then a call for the city council to vote. The vote was unanimous, and the resolution was approved.

 

 

A resolution to confirm appointment of Barbara Dunn to serve on the Advertising and Promotion Commission led to a vote where the outcome became unanimous, leading to approval of the resolution.
